Motor Medicals Ltd- Helping You In Your Journey To Becoming A Paramedic

Driver Medicals for Student Paramedics: What You Need to Know

Are you a student paramedic looking to get your commercial driver’s license and start your career in emergency medical services? If so, you’ll need to pass a medical assessment to demonstrate that you’re medically fit to drive a commercial vehicle. At Motor Medicals Ltd, we specialize in providing C1/Group 2 Medical standard driver medical assessments to student paramedics and other commercial drivers. Here’s what you need to know:

Q: What is a C1/Group 2 Medical standard driver medical assessment?

A: A C1/Group 2 Medical standard driver medical assessment is a medical examination that assesses your physical and mental fitness to drive a commercial vehicle, such as an ambulance. It’s required by the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) for anyone who wants to obtain a commercial driver’s license.

Q: Why do I need a driver medical assessment as a student paramedic?

A: As a student paramedic, you’ll be driving an ambulance as part of your job. It’s essential that you’re medically fit to drive and that you can meet the DVLA’s requirements for medical fitness to drive a commercial vehicle. Without a valid driver medical certificate, you won’t be able to obtain your commercial driver’s license and start your career in emergency medical services.

Q: How can Motor Medicals Ltd help me with my driver medical assessment?

A: At Motor Medicals Ltd, we have doctors who are qualified in completing C1/Group 2 Medical standard driver medical assessments. We offer nationwide clinics, including in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Bradford, Telford, Sheffield, Derby, Huddersfield, and more, making it easy for you to get your medical assessment done at a location that’s convenient for you. You can book online or over the phone by calling us at 0161 241 9622. Our friendly staff are always happy to answer any questions you may have.

Q: What can I expect during a driver medical assessment with Motor Medicals Ltd?

A: During your driver medical assessment with Motor Medicals Ltd, one of our doctors will evaluate your medical history, conduct a physical examination, and perform various tests to assess your eyesight, hearing, and other essential functions. We’ll also review any medication you’re taking and provide advice on how it may affect your ability to drive. Once your assessment is complete, we’ll issue you with a driver medical certificate if you meet the DVLA’s requirements for medical fitness to drive. We charge only £47 for this service, which is the cheapest in the industry. This also includes an eye test and no hidden costs.

Q: Why should I choose Motor Medicals Ltd for my driver medical assessment?

A: At Motor Medicals Ltd, we’re committed to providing the highest standards of care and professionalism. We have over 800 verified 5* reviews online, and we’re proud of our reputation for excellent service and patient satisfaction. Our doctors are highly trained and experienced in completing driver medical assessments, and we use the latest equipment and techniques to ensure accurate and reliable results.
